Thunderegg Staff

Helen Liu

Helen Liu is a visual artist who lives and works in Eugene, Oregon. She has a background in painting and graphic design and has worked for a number of years in the advertising and design business before turning to painting as her primary medium. Helen continues to take on design work and is the book designer at Thunderegg Press. Helen's own book, Up In Flames, the Ephemeral Art of Pasted-Paper Sculpture in Taiwan, is published by Stanford University Press in 2004. Some of her visual work can be viewed at the White Lotus Gallery website, www.wlotus.com.

Rina Eide

Rina Eide brings to Thunderegg Press her extensive training in typography. She began working in book prepress production in 1979. Rina has worked on projects for a number of university presses, and in recent years she has worked primarily with art directors in the advertising and graphic design field. Drawing from both her professional expertise and her life as an avid reader, she feels the typography of a well composed page enhances the readers' experience and helps voice the author's words.
